Born and raised in Fox Harbour, Newfoundland, Amanda Kelly has always been captivated by a good mystery, especially one brimming with historical secrets. She credits her father for her love of history and her mother for her imagination.
By day, she works in healthcare administration and serves her community as a volunteer responder with the Avalon North Wolverines Search & Rescue team.
By night, she can usually be found guessing where people are from during the birthday and anniversary announcements on the NTV news with her uncle and father (how her father knows where almost every single surname originates remains an unsolved mystery), dozing on the couch to the drone of sports, or writing in her “closet office” while her treadmill quietly gathers cobwebs.
When she isn’t writing, Amanda can be found coaxing hydrangeas into bloom, attempting—and failing—to snuggle her husky, Keani, or dreaming of her next adventure overseas.
